Our Journey
Originally established as a working farm in the early 1900s, our land has been lovingly passed down through the generations of the Wigglesworth family. A traditional dairy farm supplying the local community and hospitality sector with fresh, local produce. A valued part of the area’s rural heritage.
In 2007, the family made a bold and visionary decision to transform the land and business into a golf course. The first nine holes and a modest clubhouse marked the beginning of a new chapter, one rooted in the same hard work and commitment that had defined the farm for decades. Not long after opening, the course expanded to a full 18 holes as demand and ambition grew.
Over the years, Staining Lodge has continued to evolve. The original clubhouse has grown into the Brasserie & Atrium overlooking the course, an award winning wedding venue, The Glasshouse and our brand new luxury lodges.
